Hero for the Heartsick

We can run from the fraudulent framework
that devised the demise of our dreams.
Or you could steal me some strength to add to the stack
and we’ll show them all how much we mean.

Its just you and me against the anxious animosities of society’s sophomoric backdrop.
Where narcissism’s the norm and treachery’s a trend (Do you yet wish we were back at the start?)
A hero for the heartsick and an idol to the innocent with a belief too beautiful to beat,
through every dolorific decision and all the excess derision you’ve supplied me the faith that I keep.

A star lightened savior with a faith oh so fitting for this terrified teenager scene
They’ll play off your passions till they go out of fashion (but you do realize you’ll always have me?)
We’ll strive towards new light as together we fight for the meaning to make a new dream
And I’ll hold high your hopes if so only you know that you are the whole world to me.
